Xtra Giftcard
E-Commerce for digital and printed gift cards.
The Brief
Updating, improving and expanding an existing website. The old website’s goal was to provide information about Xtra printed coupons. Our mission was to add e-commerce features for digital gift cards as well.
The Challenge
Understanding that Xtra Giftcard sells 3 type of products: Digital Coupons (specific gifts), Xtra Cash (credit at the website) and Printed Coupons for employees.
Another challenge was to create clear multiple flow options for 4 different personas: the private buyer who wants to get a gift card for a friend or a coupon for himself; the private gift receiver who received a gift card and wants to use it; business buyers who have their own portals; and employees who probably received print coupons and wants to find out where they can be used.
Mobile First
The entire website was designed mobile-first, mainly to be able to reach a larger audience and connecting with a wide range of devices.
Xtra Desktop
The homepage was designed to have everything on the web directly accessible. The user can browse through products, buy coupons and get all the information he needs easily.
When first entering the website, the user’s attention is immediately drawn to the “search a gift” form, which is placed on top of the homepage screen.
A Multi-Step Form
To avoid long and tiring processes, we decided to create a 3-step form.
Step One: collect personal details about the buyer and the receiver, offering to add a personalized greeting and/or image/video.
Step Two: When and where to send the gift.
Step Three: Payment.
